Across the street from the fire station at which I work, contractors were installing a retaining pond for a new bank parking lot. From my days as child playing with Tonka trucks, I’ve always loved dirt moving machines so I took the opportunity to shoot this photograph of a small Caterpillar track hoe that was being utilized for the project.

While hanging out at my cousin’s property in the lower Kittitas Valley near Ellensburg last weekend, we watched the fog roll in down the valley. In order to get this angle, my camera was mounted on a tripod and positioned very close to the ground.

Camera specs: Nikon D700, Nikon 80-200mm lens at 200mm, F2.8, 1/3000 second, ISO 200.

When we made a family trip this past weekend to the lower Kittitas Valley near Ellensburg, Washington, I couldn’t resist capturing this image of my Toyota Land Cruiser on my cousin’s property.
