With only a few hours for my photography, I headed out the Old Vantage Highway (Old Highway 10) from Ellensburg, Washington until the old roadbed enters the river near Vantage (the road continued to a town and bridge below before a dam was built and raised the water level). From that point, I walked (and scrambled) the trail along river to the North of where I parked my vehicle. Normally, the water level is much higher and this location is under water. appearance.
